RAM Inc. is a manufacturer of custom molded components. The primary materials that we use to produce our components are Composite Engineered Thermoplastics and Thermosets.  We produce products for many high tech industries including aerospace, defense, energy, medical, as well as commercial applications.

RAM’s engineering staff is dedicated to assisting our customers in developing products that meet the functional requirements and provide the best value. To develop our processes and procedures we use PFMEA and DFEMA tools to ensure that our products are manufactured to the exacting standards of our customer’s needs.  Our engineering staff has also been trained in PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) which helps us to understand the specification requirements and consistently meet those requirements during the actual production run at the quoted production rate.

You will find a complete list of materials that we currently use on the materials page. Our most prevalent material is PolyEtherEtherKetone (PEEK) which is a high performance engineered thermoplastic. PEEK grades offer chemical and water resistance similar to PPS (PolyPhenylene Sulfide), but can operate at higher temperatures. PEEK can be used continuously to 480 degrees F (250 degrees C) and in hot water or steam without permanent loss in physical properties. For hostile environments, PEEK is a high strength alternative to aluminum. PEEK carries a V-0 flammability rating and exhibits very low smoke and toxic gas emission when exposed to flame. Although PEEK requires high processing temperatures, it can be processed using modified standard. This material has been used in many component applications that are transitioning from metals to thermoplastics.

Our material list includes but is not limited to:

Thermoplastic Polyimide…..TPI
Polyphthalamide…..PPA
Polyetheretherketone…..PEEK
Polyetherimide…..PEI
Polyphenyline Sulfide…..PPS
Liquid Crystal Polymer…..LCP
Nylon and other Thermoplastics
Carbon / Glass Fillers
EMI Shielding and Much More

We manufacture components that range in size from under .150” in Diameter to over 15” in diameter.  From our 20 Ton semi-automatic to our 750 Ton 221 cubic inch automatic mold machine, we cover a wide spectrum of possibilities. In concert with our engineering team, we believe that RAM has the capability to provide the components that you require in one of the best PO to Delivery timelines in the industry.
