Job Description

The Mold Operator Trainee/Technician is responsible for the production of quality parts to a customer's specification. The establishment and maintenance of required specifications and paperwork as required by RAM is included in this job role. Shop floor work is considerable, working with machines, tools, heavy metals, plastic materials, lubricants, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Perform molding functions to meet blueprint specification as required to finish parts per instructions
  • Describe and demonstrate clock in/out procedures
  • Create lot control tags
  • Maintain accurate count of scrap and good parts
  • Describe and demonstrate use of calipers and micrometers
  • Be able to follow instructions and complete assignments as given by supervisor
  • Report any work discrepancies to supervision
  • Must follow safety procedures
  • Perform general housekeeping functions for work area

Experience/Skills

  • Must be familiar with computer interface

Education

  • Must have good mechanical aptitude
  • Must have good high school level math and science competency
  • High School Education or GED or equivalent experience
