Quality Assurance Inspector

Job Description

Build a career in a top-notch Quality Assurance Department inspecting high tech components for national defense and the aerospace industry. Must have ISO9001 or AS9100 experience. Previous experience in manufacturing, reading blueprints, using height gauges or calipers required. Good high school math and basic geometry needed for success. Qualified candidate will have a minimum of a high school diploma, and further education is preferred. Ability to give attention to precise detailed instructions, and willingness to learn advanced measuring techniques is required.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the verification of materials, receiving and issuing of materials
  • Responsible for the intermediate buy-off of parts at mold/machining
  • Proficient use of height gauges, mics and calipers
  • Hardness testing as required
  • Ensure integrity of parts
  • Assist other personnel as required

Experience/Skills

  • Be able to read blueprints
  • Have a working knowledge of calibration/inspection equipment
  • AS9100 and/or ISO9001: (1 year) preferred
  • Must have 1-2 years' experience or equivalent education
  • Must be able to read and follow instructions
  • Have a good working knowledge of machine shop and mold shop practices and procedures

Education

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent experience
